In 1908, our founder, José Varela Blanco, started his greatest adventure. He established Panama’s first sugar cane mill and gave his sons the freedom to craft one of the world’s finest aged rums. He united communities, respected the land, and inspired generations to come. More than 100 years later, we are still based in the same hacienda, the home of Don José’s legacy. The company is run by the third generation of the Varela family.
