Cherry Heering was established in Denmark in 1818 by Peter F. Heering. A young businessman trading with colonial goods in the Copenhagen harbor, he was given the recipe by his former boss’ wife. At that time, Heering became a staple on cargo ships leaving port and sailing all over the globe. Today, it remains one of the more recognized brands around the world. Cherry Heering came to the Americas in 1837, and continues to be featured in some of the most iconic cocktails, such as the Singapore Sling, which it invented in 1915, and the Blood & Sand, traced back to 1922. In 2018, it celebrated its 200th anniversary.
